Children's Cooking Class (2 - 11yrs)

The Cooking Class provides an enjoyable yet vital opportunity for children to learn cooking skills, gain nutritional education and make a dish which they can take home. During the cooking session, each child has their own workstation and equipment to weigh, chop, scoop, mix and measure all the in …moregredients required to make a tasty meal or pudding in individual portions. Fresh, healthy ingredients are provided. Cooking is a valuable life skill that is beneficial to all attendees. The young people are encouraged to try new foods and engage in discussions around healthy eating and the importance of a balanced diet. We also discuss portion sizes and choosing healthy snacks. The food is cooked in the oven by a member of staff and bagged up to take home. While the food is in the oven, the children can enjoy a play in our Role Play Area. We aim to empower children to independently make healthy food choices and provide the children with the basic cooking skills to prepare them for independent living. It costs £10 per week, per child. less

After School Club (4 - 11yrs)
Infinite Wellbeing Community Centre
Participation in the themed sessions will be optional, and plenty of other activities will be available each day. We will collect the children from school and return to our base at Infinite Wellbeing Community Centre. Once we are there we will begin our activities, have a break for a light tea, …morethen continue with our activities. Children may be collected between 4pm and 6pm. Bookings are flexible, but we ask that you book spaces as early as possible to avoid disappointment, and to allow us time to arrange correct staffing ratios for school pick ups. You are welcome to book your child in as often or as little as you like, so you may choose for them to attend Cooking Club each week, or every day of the week, it’s entirely up to you!
